Enamel and Oil Pastel on Canvas
Contemporary Expressive, Wildlife, Animals
The skies are the best place to be for the bald eagle. Way up high, soaring below the clouds, he felt at home. He loved the feeling of the wind rushing through his feathers, keeping a sharp eye on the whole world stretching out below him. There was a time when he didn’t feel so safe, a time when he and his friends were nearly wiped out. But thankfully they were saved and will always be protected as the national symbol of the USA. He smiled to himself at the thought, he will always be the king of the air.
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the canvas. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.
