Australian artist Russell Drysdale became an iconic figure after painting a series of landscapes of drought-ravaged 1940s New South Wales. Recreated in bronze by Gillie and Marc for the town of West Wyalong is Drysdale’s studio space – comprising of his easel, and a 3D version of one of his famous paintings. “This interactive sculpture is placed on the street at the exact angle Drysale painted from,” says Gillie. “We’ve recreated the streetscape, only it is more than double the original size. It’s a real landmark for West Wyalong.”

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The world is best described as an architectural masterpiece, but we take it for granted, and even deface it. We would never throw a cigarette butt at a Michelangelo, but the work of art we live in is at best unappreciated and at worst destroyed. Seeing God’s hands as the artist and creator in his artwork, the earth, we are reminded that the world is an art piece. When you look at its beauty again, I'm sure you will agree that God must have been the greatest artist of all.
